Harold Janzen

Wonderland

this time i'm playing the guitar
and it's not that i'm famous
but that she's watching me
for the first time
strung tight to the mix
of some kaleidoscopic tonsil of a lead
and she's fussing with the steel
                                                   finger
all along
as it
slides down the electric string's
wonderland

and wham
all that cosmic debris

Harold Janzen says writing is like taking a walk through the park. Like a jogger with sweat pouring. A weight lifter pumped. A peddler in pursuit of a rhyme.
